​The creation of the Bar Exam Preparation Scholarship program is the next step in strengthening the LBA's commitment to diversifying the legal profession. In 2019, the LBA founded the ¡Andale! 5k Run/Walk. The funds raised from the 5k fund the ¡Andale! Scholarship, which helps recipients pay for LSAT preparation courses and related LSAT fees. Those costs and fees are often an obstacle for many aspiring attorneys wishing to go to law school. Since its inception, the ¡Andale! 5k raised over $500,000, which allowed us to fund over 200 LSAT scholarships for future Latino lawyers, with more to be awarded this spring.

The Bar Exam Preparation Scholarship program is the next step in helping Latinos achieve their goal of becoming attorneys. This scholarship aims to help individuals from traditionally under-represented backgrounds in the profession take the bar exam feeling better equipped to tackle the substantive and emotional challenges the exam can present. The scholarship can be used for the bar exam fees, a preparation course, a private tutor, and/or living expenses.

AWARD

Up to $750 that can be used to offset the costs of studying and preparing for the bar exam.
